  • How can I see a property I am interested in?

    To help you see our properties, we provide a photo gallery of color photos and property descriptions in our online marketing. Private showings of properties can be arranged once you have been pre-qualified. 

  • How do I apply to become a tenant?

    Applications are accepted though our website. Once you find a property you are interested in, click “Apply Now” to begin the application process.

  • Is there an application fee? Is it refundable?

    We charge an application fee of $20 per adult applicant which covers the cost of pulling credit reports. This fee is non-refundable once credit report have been pulled.

  • Do you allow pets in your rentals?

    Pet policies for each property are determined by the owner of the property. If pets are allowed at a property, we will include this information in the marketing description of the property.

  • How do I pay rent?

    There are two options for paying rent, depending on your preferred method of payment.  


    • For credit card payments or electronic drafts from your checking account, you can pay online using the tenant portal. We will email you a link to set up your tenant portal so you can manage your preferences. You can elect to have your rent deducted from your bank account automatically or you can login monthly and pay as it is due. For credit card payments, there is a 2.99% CC processing fee charged. For electronic drafts, the fee is $2.49 per draft.

     

    • For Cash payments or to pay with a check, you can deposit directly into our Aloha Hawaii Rentals account at First Hawaiian Bank. If you chose this option, please fill out the deposit slip as pictured here. You MUST write your property address on the deposit slip to ensure timely posting of rent payments. Please keep your receipt as proof of payment.
  • Do you require tenants to purchase renters’ insurance for the duration of the lease?

    Yes we do. Renters are required to carry renters’ insurance for the duration of the lease.

  • How long before I receive my deposit refund?

    Under Hawaii Law, landlords / property management companies have 14 days from the date of lease termination, to inspect the property and refund your deposit minus any deductions for outstanding expenses.

  • How do I submit a maintenance request or repair request?

    Maintenance or repair requests can be submitted online using your tenant portal. Alternatively, you can email LongTerm@aloharentals.com. Please include property address as well as the nature of your request.
